Why choose between the desert and the ocean when you can have both? Our 5-day Grand Odyssey is a curated adventure that showcases the incredible geographical diversity of Morocco. From the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains to the remote, wild dunes of Erg Chigaga, and from the ancient walls of Taroudant to the salty breeze of Essaouira, this tour offers a complete Moroccan experience in one seamless journey.

We begin by climbing the Atlas Mountains. After taking in the vistas, we explore the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site and a favorite for Hollywood directors. We finish the day in Ouarzazate, exploring the Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

We head south through the lush Draa Valley. At M’hamid, the road ends, and our 4x4 off-road adventure begins. We cross the rocky desert to reach the towering dunes of Erg Chigaga. Enjoy a sunset camel ride and a night of luxury glamping. Overnight in Erg Chigaga.

Cross the surreal dry bed of Lake Iriqui before heading toward Taroudant. Known as "Little Marrakech," this city offers a peaceful look at traditional life behind golden mud-brick walls. Overnight in Taroudant.

Drive through the Souss Valley, the heart of the Argan forest (watch out for tree-climbing goats!). We reach the Atlantic coast and the charming city of Essaouira. Spend the afternoon wandering the Skala fortress and the fishing port. Overnight in Essaouira.

Enjoy a relaxed morning by the beach or exploring the medina's art galleries. After a fresh seafood lunch, we begin our return journey to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.

Yes! Our itinerary is strategically designed to follow a loop that connects the Atlas Mountains, the deep Sahara (Erg Chigaga), and the Atlantic coast (Essaouira). It’s an ambitious route, but because we use a private 4x4, we can cover the diverse terrain comfortably while ensuring you see the very best of Morocco’s geography.

Erg Chigaga is the best choice for this specific loop because it is located further south and connects more naturally toward Taroudant and the coast. Chigaga is also much "wilder" and less touristy than Merzouga, offering a more rugged and private desert experience that fits the adventurous spirit of this tour.

This tour covers everything from mountain peaks to desert dunes and coastal breezes. We recommend "layering." You’ll need a light jacket for the Atlas and the evenings in the desert, breathable clothing for the daytime in the Sahara, and a windbreaker for Essaouira, which is famous for its refreshing Atlantic winds.

On Day 2, we spend about 2 to 3 hours driving off-road (piste) to reach the heart of the Erg Chigaga dunes. Our 4x4 vehicles are specially equipped for this, and our drivers are experts in desert navigation. It’s an exciting part of the adventure that regular vans cannot perform!

Essaouira is beautiful, but it is known as the "Windy City of Africa." The water can be cool, and the wind makes it a paradise for kite-surfers and wind-surfers. While you can swim, most guests prefer walking along the historic ramparts, exploring the art galleries, and enjoying the world-class seafood at the port.

Absolutely. On the way from Taroudant to Essaouira, we pass through the heart of the Argan forest. We can stop at a local women’s cooperative where you can see how the oil is extracted traditionally and even see the famous "climbing goats" that perch on the Argan trees.
