Experience the magic of the deep Sahara with our 4-day private tour to Merzouga. This itinerary is meticulously designed for those who want to blend adventure with relaxation. Beyond the iconic dunes of Erg Chebbi, you’ll journey through the dramatic High Atlas, hike in limestone canyons, and explore the lush palm groves of the south. With an extra night, the pace is perfect for soaking in the silence of the desert and the hospitality of the Berber people.

We start our ascent through the Atlas Mountains, stopping for photos at the highest points. After visiting the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, we drive through the Valley of Roses to reach the Dades Gorges. Overnight in a charming guest house overlooking the valley.

After breakfast, we explore the sheer cliffs of Todra Gorges. The landscape shifts as we enter the pre-Saharan plains, passing through the fossil town of Erfoud. By late afternoon, your camels await to take you into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes for a sunset you’ll never forget. Dinner and music follow at your luxury camp.

Wake up to the desert sunrise before heading west. We traverse the rugged landscapes of Alnif and Nkob, entering the lush Draa Valley. We follow the ancient caravan route lined with palms and Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa," where we spend the night.

On our final day, we visit the Atlas Film Studios or the Taourirt Kasbah. We then begin our climb back over the High Atlas, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon, filled with memories of the golden sands and mountain peaks.

If you have the time, absolutely. The 4-day tour offers a much more relaxed pace. Instead of returning to Marrakech by the same road, we take a different route through the Draa Valley. This means you see double the scenery and spend fewer hours in the car on the final days.

It’s a complete loop! On the way to the desert, you’ll experience the dramatic rock formations of the Dades Valley and the high cliffs of Todra Gorges. On the return journey, you’ll drive through the Draa Valley, which is famous for having the longest palm grove in Morocco and hundreds of ancient mud-brick Kasbahs.

Yes! Since we stay overnight in Ouarzazate on the third day, you will have plenty of time on the morning of Day 4 to visit the Atlas Film Studios or the historic Kasbah Taourirt. It’s a great way to see where famous movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed.

We handpick authentic Moroccan guest houses (Riads or Kasbah-style hotels) that offer a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature private en-suite bathrooms.

Of course! While the sunset camel trek is the traditional way to reach the camp, we can easily arrange a 4x4 transfer for you at no extra cost. You’ll still arrive in time to watch the sunset from the dunes.

Yes, the 4-day version is actually the best option for families. The shorter driving segments and the inclusion of lunches mean less stress for parents and more time for kids to explore the dunes and the oases.
