We begin our expedition by crossing the High Atlas Mountains. After exploring the cinematic history of Ait Ben Haddou, we drive through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses. You will spend your first night in the serene Dades Gorges, surrounded by unique rock formations and lush gardens.
After breakfast, we head to the majestic Todra Gorges for a guided walk between 300-meter-high cliffs. Our journey continues to the Sahara, passing through the fossil town of Erfoud. Upon reaching Merzouga, you’ll mount your camel for a trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy dinner and music around a campfire at our luxury desert camp.

It is a full day of driving (about 7 to 8 hours), but it is widely considered one of the most scenic routes in Morocco. We break up the journey with stops in the lush Ziz Valley, the Cedar Forests of the Middle Atlas to see Barbary macaques, and the alpine-style town of Ifrane. The diversity of the landscapes makes the time fly by.
Since the Fes Medina is car-free, we will drive you as close as possible to your Riad or Hotel. If your accommodation is deep in the Medina, we will coordinate with the Riad staff to meet you at the nearest gate and assist with your luggage.

Not at all. Our camels are well-trained and led by experienced handlers. The trek is a gentle walk through the dunes lasting about 1 to 2 hours. If you have physical concerns or prefer not to ride, we can provide a 4x4 transfer to the camp at no extra cost.
You will have a mobile signal for most of the drive and in the towns. In the desert camp, the signal can be weak, and there is no Wi-Fi. We see this as a great opportunity to disconnect and fully enjoy the Saharan stars.
