Embark on a captivating 2-day private tour from Marrakech to Zagora, a journey designed for those seeking a quick yet profound immersion into the Moroccan desert. Traverse the majestic High Atlas Mountains, explore the legendary fortified Kasbahs, and witness the sunset from the back of a camel. This expedition offers a perfect blend of adventure, cultural heritage, and the serene tranquility of the Zagora desert.

We depart from the vibrant city of Marrakech in the morning, climbing the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains. After crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka summit, we head toward Ouarzazate for a refreshing lunch break.

The journey continues through the enchanting Draa Valley, where we’ll walk along parts of the historic Caravans Road, surrounded by lush oases and fortified architecture.

Upon arriving in Zagora, your desert experience begins with a camel safari into the dunes. As the sun sets, we reach our luxury desert camp for a traditional Moroccan dinner and a night of nomad drumming around the campfire.

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking Saharan sunrise before enjoying a hearty breakfast. We begin our return journey, passing through the rugged landscapes of the Anti-Atlas toward the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou.

This famous Kasbah has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood epics and remains a symbol of Morocco’s historical trade power. After exploring its labyrinthine alleys, we visit Kasbah Telouet, the former palace of the Glaoui family. We return to Marrakech in the late afternoon, crossing the mountains one last time as we conclude your unforgettable Saharan escape.

If you have limited time in Morocco, the Zagora trip is the perfect solution. While the dunes are smaller (reg desert) compared to Merzouga, you still get the full Saharan experience: camel trekking, a night in a traditional camp, and crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains

We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunblock, and a hat. During winter, nights can be chilly, so a warm jacket is essential. Don’t forget your camera and a power bank to capture those starlit moments!

Absolutely! This tour is very popular with families because the driving distances are shorter compared to other desert trips. Children love the camel rides and the adventure of sleeping in a tent. We can also provide car seats if needed.

The camel trek usually lasts between 1 to 2 hours, timed perfectly to reach the dunes for the sunset. If you prefer not to ride a camel, we can arrange transport to the camp by 4x4 at no extra cost.

Yes, definitely. Moroccan hospitality is inclusive! Just let us know your dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) when booking, and we will ensure your meals are prepared accordingly.

Our luxury tents are designed for comfort. Each private tent features a real bed with high-quality linens, and a private en-suite bathroom with a hot shower and flushing toilet. It’s "glamping" at its finest!
