We reach the highest point of the road at 2,260 meters. We’ll stop here for photos and to breathe in the crisp mountain air. Along the way, you’ll see Berber villages perched on the mountainsides, perfectly camouflaged with the earth.
Leaving the main road, we reach Telouet. Once the seat of the powerful Glaoui family, this Kasbah hides an interior of incredible luxury—stunning mosaics and delicate stucco work that contrast with its crumbling exterior.
We follow the ancient caravan route through the Ounila Valley. Arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, we enjoy a leisurely lunch by the riverside. Afterward, your guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Ksar, explaining its history as a vital stop for trans-Saharan trade and its role in modern cinema.
We begin our descent back toward Marrakech, making stops at panoramic viewpoints to capture the sunset colors over the Atlas. We’ll have you back at your Riad by early evening.
