Escape the coastal breeze of Agadir for the golden silence of the deep Sahara. Our 3-day tour from Agadir to Erg Chegaga is a curated adventure designed for those who seek authenticity. Unlike the typical tourist routes, this journey takes you through the « Little Marrakech » of Taroudant, the saffron fields of Taliouine, and across the rugged Paris-Dakar rally tracks. Reach the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga—the largest and wildest in Morocco—for an unforgettable night under the stars.

Your adventure begins with a 07:30 AM pick-up from your Agadir accommodation. We head first to Taroudant to admire its magnificent walls and bustling medina. Next, we climb toward Taliouine to learn about the "red gold" (saffron) heritage. After a traditional lunch in Taznakht, we venture off-road into the wilderness. Arrive at the Erg Chegaga dunes just in time for a sunset camel trek.

  • Evening: Traditional dinner, Berber drumming by the campfire, and an overnight stay in a desert camp.

Wake up to a breathtaking desert sunrise. Today is dedicated to exploring the vastness of the Sahara. We visit nomadic families to learn about their ancient lifestyle, discover hidden oases, and navigate the shifting sands. This is your chance to disconnect from the world and connect with the raw beauty of the desert.

Overnight: Second night in the desert camp to fully absorb the Saharan peace

After breakfast, we depart the dunes via the dry bed of Lake Iriqui, a surreal landscape of flat salt pans. We join the paved road at Foum Zguid and begin our return journey through the scenic anti-Atlas mountains. We pass through the carpet-weaving town of Taznakht again before arriving back in Agadir by early evening.

Yes, it is! While it’s a journey into the deep south, our use of private 4x4 vehicles allows us to take efficient off-road routes (like the old Paris-Dakar track). This ensures you spend more time enjoying the dunes and less time on the main roads.

Erg Chegaga is much more remote and "wild." While Merzouga is easily accessible by paved roads, reaching Chegaga requires a 4x4 expedition. This means fewer tourists, a more peaceful atmosphere, and a truly authentic nomadic experience in the largest sand sea in Morocco.

You will stay at the Sahara Services Standard Camp. It offers a perfect blend of tradition and comfort, providing you with a private tent, delicious traditional meals (dinner and breakfast), and evening entertainment with Berber drumming around a campfire.

Yes! Unlike many other operators, we include the entrance fees to all cultural and historical sites on this route, such as the ramparts of Taroudant and the saffron cooperatives in Taliouine. This means no hidden costs during your trip.

Definitely. We provide breakfast and dinner at both the Kasbah in M'hamid and the desert camp. We can easily accommodate vegetarian, vegan, or other dietary needs—just let us know in advance!

No special equipment is needed. Our 4x4 vehicles are modern, air-conditioned, and professionally maintained for desert terrain. We recommend bringing sunglasses, a scarf for the dunes, and comfortable clothing for the camel trek.
