Go beyond the tourist trails with our 8-day immersive walking holiday. This journey is designed for those who want to disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with nature. Trading the engine’s roar for the rhythmic footsteps of camels, you will trek through the heart of the Erg Chigaga dunes. Guided by an experienced Berber team, you will traverse ancient riverbeds, sleep under a canopy of a million stars, and witness the desert’s soul in a way very few travelers ever do.

Welcome to Morocco! Your private driver will transfer you to a peaceful Riad in the heart of the Medina. Enjoy a welcome mint tea and a traditional Moroccan dinner as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

We leave the city for the mountains. After crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass, we explore the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Spend the night in a charming guesthouse nearby to soak in the history.

Drive through the lush Draa Valley, lined with millions of palm trees. We reach M’hamid, where the pavement ends and the true desert begins. Meet your camel caravan and Berber team for the first night near the oasis.

The walking journey begins. We trek through the "Hamada" (stone desert) and small tamarisk groves. Our destination is the shrine of Sidi Naji, a sacred place for local nomads. Night in a traditional desert camp.

We walk toward the hidden dunes of Zahar. These dunes are famous for the "singing" or "screaming" sound made by the wind. From the top, you’ll have a 360-degree view of the vast Sahara. Wild camping under the stars.

Today we reach the "Big Sea of Sand." We walk across the dry Draa riverbed to reach the towering peaks of Erg Chigaga. Celebrate the final night of your trek with traditional music and a feast. Overnight in a Luxury Desert Camp.

A 4x4 vehicle picks us up for an off-road adventure across the dry Lake Iriqui. We then drive back over the Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by evening for a well-deserved shower and rest.

After a final Moroccan breakfast and some free time for last-minute shopping, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.

The trek is moderate and accessible to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. We walk for about 4 to 5 hours a day, broken into morning and afternoon sessions. The pace is steady, and if you ever feel tired, you can always ride on one of the support camels for a while.

During the trek, we practice "wild camping" to stay close to nature. Our team sets up high-quality mobile tents and provides comfortable mattresses. On the final night in the dunes, we stay in a Luxury Desert Camp with private bathrooms and hot showers to celebrate the end of our journey.

Not at all. Your main luggage is carried by our caravan of camels. You only need to carry a small daypack for your essentials like water, sunscreen, and your camera.

Our private cook prepares fresh, nutritious meals every day. Breakfasts are traditional (bread, honey, eggs, tea), lunches are usually fresh salads and lentils, and dinners are hot, slow-cooked tagines or couscous. We can easily accommodate Vegetarian, Vegan, or Gluten-free diets—just let us know in advance!

During the wild camping nights (Day 4 & 5), there are no formal showers, as water is a precious resource in the deep desert. However, we provide "warm water basins" for washing. On Day 6, when we reach the luxury camp, you will have a full hot shower waiting for you.
