While it doesn't have the high sand dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi), it offers a breathtaking, lunar-like landscape with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. It is the perfect alternative if you want a desert experience without the 8-hour drive.
To catch the sunrise, the pick-up is usually very early (between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, depending on the season). It’s an early start, but drifting over the mountains as the sun breaks the horizon is an experience you will never forget!

Even if it's hot in Marrakech, the desert can get breezy. We recommend comfortable, loose clothing for the camel ride and a light jacket for the evening dinner, as temperatures drop once the sun sets.
